When I first started as a portrait photographer, my studio was in absolute chaos. Without any systems, I was wasting hours chasing around leads who never booked, dealing with last-minute cancellations and no-shows, and repeating the same mind-numbing busywork and people wrangling tasks over and over.
I almost quit, it was so unfulfilling to not actually be creating the art I wanted to play and create with my clients, but to be instead navigating conflicts with clients I hadn’t properly educated, and dealing with my own fear of rejection that kept me playing small, staying invisible in my basement studio behind my computer screen.
Then I developed The Binder - my studio manual with all the systems to streamline my client communications, backend workflow processes, CRM software setup, and even the full training manual for my team.
The Binder evolved with my needs over the 8 years I spent running my portrait photography studio - addressing pain points and resistances that kept me from doing the work that got me paid, fine-tuning my client education process to a well-oiled machine, and allowing me to relax and settle into an energy of groundedness and gentle safety for my clients and team (and for myself!)
Navigating my own perfectionism and the ways it was limiting me, I channeled that perfectionistic nature into the Binder, so I could let the perfectionism go, let my Binder become my Dom, and simply show up in my studio to serve and play with my clients, feeling that my cup was full and ready to pour from.
After experiencing “success” as a workaholic, perfectionistic photographer, I retired for 3 years to reconnect with my radiance, my sexual essence, my inner child, and my wild nature.
I now live a bohemian lifestyle between Salt Lake City, Utah and Costa Rica - balancing single motherhood (of teenagers!), healing from religious sexual repression, studying authentic relating & tantra, dancing, dating, luxuriating in nature, and writing my first book (a memoir about my quest for divine, vibrant, fucking great sex).
My magic is holding a sacred space of vulnerability, truth, and growth; to explore the aspects of self who are longing to be expressed, witnessed, and integrated - through the mediums of conversation, intuitive bodywork, tantric breathwork and movement practices, film, photography, and writing.
